Dr. Deshabandu Kularathne, a doctor of indigenous medicine from Elayapattuwa Anuradhapura has dedicated his life’s work to eradicating the widespread Chronic Kidney Disease which has become a major concern to the Sri Lankan population. He established the “Suwa Udana Hela Weda Gedara” in the year 2000 giving new meaning to the practice passed down from generation to generation and igniting hope of a new lease of life among patients affected by the disease.
With the participation of our Honorable founder,Chairman Dr.Tissa Jinasena,We had our annual parent's meeting held on 28th November 2017 at Jinasena Training Foundation. Currently 4 Batches are following their institutional part of Mechatronics course and almost all their parents participated in the meeting and they were Happy about their children's' progress as well as Jinasena Culture at the Institute.
Donation of books for the school library was held on the 13th Morning at the school premises with the participation of all the teachers, students and our team. The books were officially handed over to the Principal and the students by Mr Nishan Jinasena & team members at the ceremony. Mr Principal addressed the people and mentioned about the specialty of this initiatives in building the next generation. In fact he extend his heartiest gratitude to Dr Tissa Jinasena for his invaluable involvement to the school for the development of the students.
The Tissa Jinasena Foundation has been continuously providing support since 27.05.2017 to the areas affected and families displaced by the flooding and landslides as a result of the adverse monsoon weather conditions of 2017. Accordingly, necessities such as dry rations, water, medicine, and sanitary goods have been distributed to the families in the following areas Thihagoda Divisional Secretariat, Akurassa and surrounding areas, Matara, Kamburugamuwa and surrounding areas such as Bandaththara, Nadugala, Wallathota, Kottawaththa, Ukgoda, Kandawala.
